Carbon Reduction Plan

Our mission is to reduce our environmental impact while delivering safe, responsible and sustainable care.

1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Involvement Support is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 31 December 2029. We recognise our responsibility to support the UK’s wider decarbonisation objectives and align our approach with North Northamptonshire Council’s Carbon Management Plan, where applicable. Environmental responsibility forms an integral part of our organisational values and operational planning.

2. Emissions Covered

This Carbon Reduction Plan covers the following emissions categories, in line with PPN 06/21 guidance:

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, such as fuel use in company vehicles

  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity

  • Scope 3: Other indirect emissions, including staff commuting and supplier-related emissions

3. Environmental Management Measures

To reduce our carbon footprint and support continuous improvement, Involvement Support will implement the following measures:

  • Encouraging the use of low-emission vehicles and public transport for staff travel where possible

  • Adopting a digital-first approach to minimise paper use

  • Using energy-efficient office equipment and lighting

  • Supporting remote and hybrid working practices to reduce travel-related emissions

  • Procuring goods and services from environmentally responsible suppliers where feasible

4. Monitoring and Review

This Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed annually to assess progress and ensure it remains effective and relevant. Updates will be made in line with operational changes, and we will work toward year-on-year improvements in carbon intensity, monitored through internal reporting mechanisms.
